Minor edge and corner wear, no dj, lightly scuffed and scratched, corners are lightly bumped and rubbed, some shelf wear, ex-library with the usual library markings, overall a nice used first edition (stated)! Green boards with silver lettering on the spine. 227 informative and historical pages! "I found 1963 an appropriate year in which to write this book. The occasion was the forceful convergence of domestic and international events which called into doubt many of the policies we have been pursuing since World War II. What I have to say is stated with some specificity, in order that public opinion may have the opportunity to agree or disagree. To some, it may seem that I am excessively preoccupied with economics. If this is so, it is not because I believe that man lives by bread alone." ---- from the Preface. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
