Item description from seller

First American edition, first printing (stated "1928" on title page with no subsequent printing history or later impressions noted on copyright page). Octavo. 201 pp. Bound in original publisher's quarter burgundy cloth over cream paper-covered boards. Spine features the original gold paper label with brown decorative borders and clean, clear typography. The fragile paper label shows minor age-toning and very subtle chipping along the extreme edges but remains fully legible and structurally intact. Binding is firm, straight, and tight. Boards show light handling smudges and edge-toning consistent with age. Internal contents are clean, crisp, and bright; entirely free of marginalia, underlining, or library stamps. A highly collectible copy of a scarce, foundational volume of modernist critical prose addressing Gertrude Stein, T.E. Hulme, and T.S. Eliot. Kc525b127.
