Condition: Very Good; no dust jacket One of Popper's most influential and widely read books, expanding his theory of falsifiability into a broader account of how scientific (and other) knowledge grows through conjecture and refutation, alongside essays on Presocratic philosophy, Kant, and the philosophy of history. A landmark 20th-century philosophy-of-science text, dedicated to F.A. von Hayek. Condition Orange cloth boards are bright and square with sharp corners; spine's gilt lettering remains legible and bright with only minor rubbing to the label panel. No dust jacket present. Text block appears tight and clean based on photographed pages (title page, copyright leaf). Given the absence of the jacket, this is a working reading/reference copy of the true first edition rather than a display copy. Shipping / Returns Carefully packed for shipment. Domestic shipping via USPS Media Mail unless otherwise requested. Expedited and international shipping available where permitted. Returns accepted in accordance with AbeBooks policies. SCI 5a.…
