The Light of the World, 1895, Oversize, 10 3/4 x 13 x 4 1/2 , 13 pounds. Almost one inch thick black leather covers with gilt lettering and all three page edges gilt. Showing in simple form all the changes, additions, and omissions that appear in the revised version, enabling all Bible readers to see at a glance wherein the two versions differ. Self-pronouncing Edition. Large number of Bible aids throughout such as history of English translations, color maps, summaries of Bible books, chronology using Ussher's 4004 creation dating, many attractive line drawings, color & b&w plates, concordance, short Bible dictionary, short footnotes on all Bible text, and many other shorter sections of Bible aids, Condition: Very Good+. Wear to bottom of spine. In the table of contents, page numbers are written in in neat black ink for the books of the Old Testament which bleed onto title page. Small stain on back cover.
