About this Item

Jules Guérin (1866-1946) is often overlooked due to the popularity of Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) but the two friends work was very complementary. Guérin, although better known as a illustrator and architectural renderer could certainly hold his own with Parrish. Unpag. Folio. A portfolio of loose prints, twenty of twenty, five by Parrish and fifteen by Guérin. Exterior boards of portfolio have light wear and scuffing, original ribbon ties intact. Each color plate mounted to a stiff matte board with descriptive label attached. Slight darkening to mattes from age, prints all sharp and bright.
