Faber first edition, 1981, inscribed affectionately by the book's editor and Plath's husband, Ted Hughes, to his daughter with Plath, Frieda, and her husband at the time; June 1998, inscribed in the last few months of Hughes' life. The collection won Plath the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry, posthumously awarded; with textual corrections for Frieda in Ted Hughes' hand on the front free endpaper (see the photographs). A fine copy, with firm spine foot; firm corners, no bumps to the boards. Unhandled and very fresh in appearance. The jacket is fine.
