Item description from seller

A smart first edition of this thrilling detective novel from James M. Fox, introducing a new detective Jerry Long. First edition. Detective Sergeant Jerry Long is a hard-working operator on the police force of a big West-Coast city. After being assigned to investigate what seems to be a simple gangland murder, they're soon lead into a maze of traffic between gang-leaders and politicians. Written by James M. Fox, a naturalized American writer born in the Netherlands and known for his detective fiction. In the original grey cloth binding. Externally, very smart with minor shelf wear and the odd small mark to the boards. Original unclipped price-clipped dust wrapper is also very smart with minor chipping to the extremities and light sunning to the spine. The odd small mark to the rear panel. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Very Good Indeed.
