Computer models now provide an efficient and economic tool for the analysis of coastal engineering problems. In particular, they are increasingly being used in conjunction with measuring techniques to determine the extent of environmental problems and to take action when a disaster occurs, determining its extent and consequence, and optimizing available resources. Featuring the most recent advances in the field, this book contains papers presented at the Fifth International Conference on Computer Modelling of Seas and Coastal Regions.
