About this Item

A large-format albumen process photographic image of the famous gothic style Basilica in Paris. Laid down to thin cardstock, with the studio stamp in red ink of Achille Quinet below the photo, at bottom right. Image approx. 7 1/2" x 9 3/4" size; the cardstock makes it approx. 12 1/2" x 17 3/4" overall. No date noted; circa 1870. Cardstock with a little spotting, little bit of rippling; image clear and well-taken, a good, detailed view of the front facade of the basilica; in very good condition. A nice example of the work of French photographer Achille Leon Quinet (1831 - 1907). Seller Inventory # 25409
