Store description
I am Roshni, the heart behind a little whimsical antique book shop that has finally found its way into the world. This dream began long before I realised it. As a child, I spent countless afternoons wandering the public library with my mum, breathing in the scent of old paper and disappearing into stories. I did not know what rare books were then or that first editions even existed. I only knew that stories made me feel safe and understood. Years later, I held my first antique book in my hands and felt something shift. The worn cloth, the gilt on the cover and the soft pages shaped by many readers created a feeling I never forgot. It was as if the past reached out and touched me for a moment. That spark became the beginning of my love for old books. After my mum passed, bookshops became a place of comfort. Every creaky floorboard, every leaning shelf and every gilt spine felt like a doorway where I could step out of the world and simply breathe. Books became sanctuary and escape, and caring for these old volumes became something gentle and meaningful. It still feels like a privilege to look after these little works of art. Sometimes I imagine Jane Austen or the Brontë sisters smiling at the thought of their stories travelling across time and still finding new readers today. Antique books are more than stories. They create atmosphere, warmth and character. They add magic to a room and make even the quietest corner feel special. I love offering books for a range of budgets so everyone can experience a little bookish magic. Thank you for being here and for stepping into this small world I am creating.…
