Original flourescent green papered boards with expanded title page details repeated within a border on the front cover, and with the contents listed on the rear; covers slightly marked and a little rubbed, bumped and worn at the extremities, with the hinges a little cracked; spine sunned, lightly mottled and a little glue-stained; thin light tidemark to the top edge of the front endpaper; a very good copy of a scarce book rarely found with the spine intact (and internally this copy is nothing short of fine). 'Storrie exhibits a keen sense of satire not only with regard to conventional tales whose perclivities are mercilessly ridiculed but also with regard to colonial society itself' (Depasquale: A Critical History of South Australian Literature, 1836-1930).
