Straight spine. The book is designed to bridge elementary and more advanced Chinese study, focusing on fast-tracking communicative competence through practical, situational language. It focuses on expanding vocabulary, strengthening grammar, improving listening and speaking skills, and developing reading ability through everyday topics (such as travelling, housing and buying a car in China, culture gap, Chinese families, environmental problems, and leisure life).
