Bottom and side edges untrimmed, ownership inscription; 'M A Holding' on front endpaper, Small octavo, pagination: x, 101, [1], advert leaf before title, top edge gilt, the others uncut in original blue bevel-edged cloth, lightly rubbed and frayed at spine ends but a very good clean tight copy, FIRST EDITION. The significance of the '7' shaped apostrophe to the spine, as found in this example, is hotly debated. CONDITION: Slight rubbing and fraying to spine ends, minor bit of spotting to upper board, old name inscribed on front endpaper, but a very good bright copy.
