About this Item

Antique hardcover children's book with illustrated paper covered boards rubbed round at tips. Book spine covered with beige linen cloth showing no title, cloth has small splits, Surface color loss present on boards, but remains one of the nicer copies we've seen. Hinge papers holding, have been re-glued, one ink name stamp and a gift dedication dated 1916 on age-toned endppr. Two small lower repaired closed page tears and a re-glued front hinge. Book will be provided in a clear acetate wrapper to protect the boards going forward. 204pp heavy-gauge cream colored leaves have a one page story on the left and a b/w illustration on the right. Features war horses, family ponies, farm horses with relationships with other farm animals, riding horses, donkeys, carriages, carts and more.
