This is an exceptionally well-preserved copy of the scarce 1988 UK first edition. The book appears virtually unread. Boards are bright and clean with sharp corners and no bumping. The binding is tight and square. All pages are crisp, clean, and free of marks, inscriptions, foxing, or browning.
Crucially, every single die-cut peephole is in perfect condition ? no tears, creases, or wear to any of the interactive circular windows. Illustrated boards remain vibrant with the bright orange cat and striped border looking fresh. A truly outstanding example of this fragile novelty title.
A delightful interactive picture book that follows the naughty adventures of Charlie Rascal, a cheeky ginger tabby cat. Young readers (and adults!) peek through specially cut circular holes on each spread to discover what trouble Charlie has caused ? from diving into the fishbowl and stealing Grandma?s fruit pie to climbing trees and tumbling in the laundry. Rhyming text and Lorna Kent?s warm, expressive illustrations make this a joyful read-aloud that never fails to elicit giggles.
