This 190 pp. indexed book tells the true story of a young poet-priest's decision to return to the South from his teaching post in Brooklyn, at the outbreak of the Civil War, in order to join the Confederate Army as a Chaplain. The book is in great shape other than a negligible stain on the first flyleaf. The jacket shows minor corner bumping, but otherwise looks fine. Photos upon request.
