Original publisher's brown cloth binding with gilt lettering on front cover and spine. 6" x 8 1/2." 300 pages, complete. Pages are very clean and intact except for light age toning. Covers are very clean and intact except for two stains on back and slight wear to extremities. A Very Good copy. A collection of short stories, poems, and essays by William Henry Rhodes (1822-1876), an American author. Edited by Daniel O'Connell. Rhodes is perhaps best-known for authoring the fictional short story, "The Case of Summerfield," which is the first title in this collection. He sometimes wrote under the pseudonym, Caxton.
