Quarto; size of binding: 9 3/8 in. x 11 5/8 in., titlepage, (remounted on a paper tab), [1]-372 pp. Quarter bound with black, polished calf spine, sides & corners; the spine features a maroon morocco title label, gilt-lettered: CATULLI TIBULLI ET PROPERTT OPERA BASKERVILLE, and at the base: 1772, with simple decoration of gilt & blindstamped lines; marbled paper-covered boards, all edges sprinkled red, light brown endpapers. Binding is unsigned, but from the mid-19th century period. Modern bookplate on the front paste-down. Spine ends & cover edges show wear, abrasion & rubbing to the outer cover surfaces; with damp & other staining to the titlepage (which has been re-mounted), to left-hand margin & lower left corner area of pp. [1]-21 + from pp. 372 back to p. 350, with various degrees of brown spotting, or tanning to most page margins.
