Item description from seller

Spine faded.; 8 consecutive years, 1936-1943. Pagination: [iv], 108; [iv], 96; [iv], 105, [1]; [iv], 76; [iv], 128; [iv], 92; [ii], 68; [ii], 128. Red half-cloth binding. Each issue is arranged both by author and by subject, followed by a smaller section of fiction arranged by author and by title. The majority of titles added each year were recently published, although some earlier acquisitions also feature in the lists, e.g. George Francis White's "Views in India" (1838), acquired in 1936. It is interesting to read the lists of contemporary fiction, both well known titles such as Crime Club novels and Hemingway's "To Have and Have Not" (1937), acquired in 1938, alongside other authors now in varying degrees of obscurity.; 8vo.
