Erste Ausgabe der Streitschrift gegen den Genfer Theologen Lambert Daneau (1530-95), gewidmet Robert Bellarmin. Der aus Kreta stammende Jesuit Andreas Eudaemon-Joannes (1560-1625), aus dem Kaisergeschlecht der Paläologen gebürtig, war Rektor des griechischen Kollegs in Rom und wirkte ebenda und in Padua als Professor für Theologie und Philosophie. - Beigebunden die seltene erste Ausgabe dieser Schilderung der Konversion des Ansbacher Juristen und Theologen Sixtus Sartorius Miltenberger, der zum Katholizismus übertrat und nachmals als Domherr in Passau wirkte. 1614 erschien eine Gegenschrift: "Rettung Martin Luthers seeligen Lehr, Ehr und guten Namens: Wider Sixti Sartorii [.] in den Causis Motivis seines Abfalls ausgestoßene Schmachreden".
