This series of Cartoons.was drawn.in 1901, "The cartoons were drawn in 1901 and show the influence of the Boer War and Max's feeling that England was losing prestige and power abroad".; with the error in the printed captions to plates 3 and 6, where "See Contemporary Historians, passim." has been reproduced as "See Contemporary Historians passion".; edition size unknown, it is not signed; book is tight but does have a few pages a little loose just at bottom; front board paper & spine have 1/4 of some browning and a little bubbling to paper on back boards; some small tears & rubbing to extremities; interior is clean and tight, plates in VERY GOOD COND.
