Front Cover /Title page, hand coloured. Condition Good to Very Good, minimal dirt/ageing, possibly trimmed a little, with top right corner reattached and all glued to thin board, as has been in an old (damaged) frame for well over 100 years (and no inscriptions were on the inside or rear of the frame at all) . A very interesting design Title details are surrounded on the upper and side margins by a festooned curtain, top sides has caricature heads as in a theatre mostly looking to a strange smiling head, closed eyes top centre. Sides with an old lady to left and old gent to right, both holding a portrait of themselves. At their feet are small people looking at very small characters. Undated, but likely to be 1806 or 1807. Very rare and looks like hand colouring is original, as very similar to a couple of others on the net in museums/libraries, though saw no two copies exactly the same colours . Size: 25 x 35cm.appox.
