Item description from seller

"The Cape Fear" by Malcolm Ross is part of the Rivers of America series and offers a historical exploration of this region. This book is presented as a First Edition dated 1965 and features a rare hardcover edition with a distinctive design. The light blue cloth cover contrasts beautifully with dark blue spine lettering, and a dark blue title block with gold borders and a gold title within on the spine's title block. While the book is generally in great shape, it does show some signs of wear due to shelf handling. The corners are slightly rubbed, and the spine ends have light indentations. There is some sun-fading to the spine and at the head of the front cover. A hint of foxing is present on the edges of the text block. The binding is square and tight, ensuring that the book remains in good condition. Some light foxing is visible on the endpapers and pastedowns. There's a small abrasion on the front flyleaf. However, the interior pages are clean and unmarked. This book is a very rare and valuable addition to the Rivers of America series. It offers a historical perspective on the Cape Fear region, making it of interest to collectors and history enthusiasts alike. The book will be carefully packaged for shipment to ensure protection from the elements, and an electronic USPS tracking number will be issued free of charge. If you have any further questions or would like to see more pictures of the book, please feel free to contact us.

Store description

Alien Bindings is an online bookshop located in Baltimore that has been in operation for nearly 20 years. Alien Bindings caters to the sciences including the physical sciences, astronomy, mathematics, computer science, the social sciences and medicine. I also dabble in a wide array of other categories including antiquarian books and history. I run a clean, green business. I try to reuse clean materials for packaging whenever possible. For example, books are carefully packaged frequently using clean cardboard for custom made boxes, recycled paper is used for printed labels and recycled plastic or bubble wrap is used for a weather-proof barrier. I drop the packages off to my local post office via foot or cycle in order to further reduce the carbon footprint.
