Dark blue cloth with bright gilt cover and spine printing. Black styalized drawing depicting a voyage from the North to the Gulf. Embossed black lines top and bottom front cover. Lines are there on back cover but not in black, just stamped in with small embossed medallion in center rear cover. 1885. Pale yellow eps. 215p. Map frontis. Uniform age tone to pages; else contents vg, clean and tight. Previous owner's name and date in ink ffep. Light shelf wear to head/tail spine; small 1/2" squarish spot to bottom front cover near black line; else covers VG, gilt exceptionally bright. Author was Secretary of the American Canoe Association. Previous owner was known to my family and an active and enthusiastic canoeist in the Easter Division (RI) of the ACA in the 20's - 30's or longer.
