Hardcover in near-fine condition, in a slipcase now covered in decorative red cloth, lacking the dust jacket, 8vo, pages: [viii],310. Orange cloth with white polka-dots, titles black on a red background, top edge dyed pale tan, deckled fore-edge, black-and-white illustrated end-papers, frontis and black-and-white plates by Rockwell Kent. Spine faded, light wear. Bookseller accession no.: GP117. Alexander, (b.ca.1876 in S. Carolina - d.17 Oct 1943), was an author of short stories and magazine articles, this appears to be her only book (and it won a prize of $10,000).
