Lord Dufferin's visits to Montreal, Quebec, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, Niagara, Ottawa, New York, and other places are described. The Governor General of Canada, "The Earl of Dufferin". Lord Dufferin was Governor General of Canada during an era of great growth and transition in Canadian history. The Supreme Court of Canada, the Royal Military College of Canada, and the Intercolonial Railway, were all established during Lord Dufferin's service.
