A very good copy of the stated first hard cover edition in a like (not price-clipped) dust-jacket. Doubleday Review Copy slip laid in, along with folded publicity sheet and a photo of Rhoda Lerman. The word "discard" stamped twice to front free endpaper (this is NOT an ex-library copy), else the text is wholly unmarked, pristine, and the maroon-cloth binding bright and fresh in appearance. Jacket not price-clipped, with moderate weat at the extremities, two intact micro-tears at the top of the spine, and some creasing to base of front jacket panel. A sharp copy.
