Irwin "Ike" Belk (1922-) is a businessman who has donated funds to construct 29 collegiate track and field facilities in North and South Carolina. He ran for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, He graduated from the School of Commerce at the UNC at Chapel Hill. In 1996, Belk retired as president of the Belk Group of department stores and sold his share of the business to his brothers. He has also been a member of the United States Olympic Committee for 45 years and received the organization's highest volunteer award, the Olympic Order, at the Winter Games in Salt Lake City. In 1994, UNC-Chapel Hill honored him with the William R. Davie Award, the university's highest award. A boulevard in the U.S. Olympic Committee's training facilities in Colorado Springs, CO is also named after him.
