He taught briefly in Ireland and Germany before going into local broadcasting in 1956. "Outstanding for its brilliant portraiture, this perceptive, delightfully witty story of love and boarding-school politics is set in 1960s Northern Ireland". Set in the fictional "Seagoe School".
