Bound in publisher's black cloth, binding with gold gilt lettering on spine and embossed figure with crossbow on horse in gold gilt on front cover, TEG, ex-library with two small stamps in the front, numeral on the spine, ink smudge on the lower half-title and 1 inch closed tear in the blank portion of the same page. A very good tight copy. Sir Ralph William Frankland-Payne-Gallwey, 3rd Baronet (1848 - 1916) was an accomplished engineer, historian, ballistics expert, and artist.
