Before we wrote this book, we worked on books of what to say when you give a speech, what to say when you give a toast, and what to say when you particpate in a roast. Then we tackled the hardest situation: what to say when you need to make an excuse! Everyone makes excuses, and the old ones are getting worn out -- so we came up with a lot of new ones. And, of course, we honored the tradition of blaming the dog, who's man's best friend because he can't speak up.
