This is a UK hardcover first edition of this title published by Simpkin Marshall & Co in 1901. The photos show the book's condition better than I can describe it, but overall I am describing this as Very Good. The book has a straight spine, sharp corners and firm spine ends, although the spine ends are scuffed. The binding is nice and tight however the seam when you open the book is split, although the boards and binding are still firmly attached to each other. There is an ex-libris owner label glued to the inner board. The end papers are toned but the interior text is clean. The book is illustrated throughout with a number of colour illustrations. There is no reference to a printing history but research has identified this book was published in 1901. Seller Inventory # 015662

I charge shipping that reflects my actual costs. I do NOT offer cheap shipping and add it to the book price so please do not complain to me that Bob down the road offers cheaper postage. Sure he does - but the price of his book is hiked to reclaim it, or you're referring to a power seller who can negotiate postage discounts. I can't - I'm a private individual selling my private collection. ABE only allows me to set one postage rate so I charge the rate for hardbacks sent in a box with bubble wrap and polystyrene peanuts. Where postage is less - eg a paperback or small hardback - I refund the difference once I get my receipts and know the exact cost. Tracking is NOT provided automatically on UK parcels - you have to choose priority mail AND pay an additional �7 postage on top.
