Farbig bedruckte Deckel. 30 loose components of varying sizes printed in monochrome and duotone. Known as "The Copley Book", this is Diter Roth's 1965 artist's volume created in collaboration with Richard Hamilton and published by Chicago's William and Noma Copley Foundation. A stream of conciousness agglomeration of fragments in the vein of Duchamp's notes for the Large Glass, it contains thirty loose, printed sheets housed in a colorful printed paper folder. With texts, drawings, photographs, collages, reliefs, letterpress, offset, die-cuts, and embossing. Printed by Percy Lund Humphries, London. Innendeckel mit rotem Setzkastenstempel: Dieses Buch ist fuer meine kleine Vera in Reykjavik. - Complete and in excellent condition, with usual creasing to the spine and overlapping edges of the cover. "Diter Rot's unique talents suggested, when the idea of devoting a Copley monograph to his work was first discussed, that the Rot book could be art, in his terms, rather than a critical evaluation and survey of past achievements. His reaction to our proposal is this assemblage of printed matter. Its pages are a kind of visual diary squirted out during three years of spasmodic labor in fulfillment of a scheme outlined in a letter dated 19 July 62 which prefaces the book. - Dobke S. 166 mit Zählung der einzelnen Seiten.
