No dust jacket (i.e. lacking) save for clipped text portion of rear panel now affixed at top of front free endpaper. Blue cloth; slight scuffing at spine ends and board corners; spine retains bright gilt lettering. Gilt top edge; some soiling to text block's bottom edge. Candle, book, and owl-themed personal bookplate of St. Louis physician, naval historian, and author E. Lee Dorsett (Edward Lee Dorsett, 1883-1967) at front pastedown center; slender bookseller ticket "Chas. E. Lauriat Co., | Importers & Booksellers | 385 Wash'n St. Boston" affixed at front free endpaper's bottom left corner; chip at fore-edge margin of rear pastedown; publisher's Basil Lubbock "The Clipper Ship Series" brochure laid-in at rear endpapers. Interior pages are otherwise clean. Binding is firm. Still a handsome book.
