Item description from seller

First edition, quarto; [ii], 10, [4] pp. In 20th century blue buckram with gilt lettering to front board. Paper very lightly browned. An exceptionally clean example of this rare civil war pamphlet. The attribution to the journalist Gilbert Mabbott is tentative; his initials seem to be appended to the text, but this may be in his capacity as official licenser of the press between 1647 and 1649. Mabbott appears to have been an ally of the Levellers, one of a minority of factions who escape criticism in this work. ESTC504477 (citing 2xUK and 2xUS locations, the rarer of two variants of this edition); Wing R975, Thomason E.421[8].
