FIRST EDITION 1825. 8vo, 230 x 140 mm, 9 x 5½ inches, armorial device of clockmakers as frontispiece, pages: [2], 1-104, bound in full calf, old covers rebacked with new spine, gilt title to spine. Upper cover rubbed and scuffed with some loss of surface, lower cover rubbed and lightly scuffed, tips of corners worn, board just showing, light foxing to pastedowns and endpapers, neat old ink name to endpaper dated 1845, contents otherwise bright and clean, binding tight and firm. A very good copy. See: John Bromley, The Clockmakers Library, page 11, No. 188, which states "printed on one side only", whereas this copy is printed on both sides; Library Hub Discover listing 3 copies only.
