Very faint toning to the outer margins of covers, else, near fine. Overall, very good. Uncommon in commerce. See OCLC #3861768. A first printing of this work by a significant figure in the American counterculture poetry scene. Sometimes referred to as a projectivist poet, Potts was mentored by Edward Dorn and rose to literary prominence in Berkeley, California, where he founded the Litmus literary magazine and publishing company. He would later move to Walla Walla, Washington where he founded The Temple bookstore, Tsunami Publishing, and The Temple Literary Magazine. Abandoning traditional forms, his works emphasized an open, improvisational style that sought to capture the immediacy of thought and breath.
