Likeness of Stanley on the front cover, spine similar with author, title, subtitle, drawing of African holding spear and shield then publisher and a few horizontal lines all in gold lettering. The spine is faded from exposure to light, back cover is plain, both covers have minor scuffing, no shelf wear or very minor. page edges are rough cut. top and side edges are lightly soiled, double end sheets (back & front) are map of central Africa in equatorial area printed in brown.No writing in the book. Translated from the German by Eden and Cedar Paul. 8 photo illustrations on coated paper, 12 chapters plus intro, bibliography and index.Pages are clean and tight.
