About the Author

Keith Haddock, P.Eng., has become an expert authority on earthmoving equipment after a career spanning 35 years in the earthmoving and surface mining industries. In 1985, he co-founded the Historical Construction Equipment Association based in Bowling Green, Ohio, where for seven years he edited their house magazine "Equipment Echoes". He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Mining, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Alberta, Canada. Since retiring from Luscar in 1998 Keith has been a full-time author and freelance writer on heavy equipment He is also known for his TV appearances on the History, Discovery and Learning Channels.
