71 pages + 4 page index and 15 pages at rear of title pages and devices and type faces used. a loose 4 page prospectus for the book designed by Rogers Amy Lowell "A Mosaic", by G.H Sargent 1926. original blue mottle cloth, paper label on the spine, very light dulling at spine, but hardly noticed, contents near fine, uncut edges, Octavo. 22.5 x 15 cm. *Note: Bruce Rogers (May 14, 1870 ? May 21, 1957) was an American typographer and type designer, acclaimed by some as among the greatest book designers of the twentieth century. Rogers was known for his "allusive" typography, rejecting modernism, seldom using asymmetrical arrangements, rarely using sans serif type faces, often favoring faces such as Bell (at the time known only as Brimmer), Caslon, his own Montaigne, a Jensonian precursor to his masterpiece of type design Centaur. We are a small, single-owner business. We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
