Add to basketRare early edition of Sax Rohmer's Brood of the Witch-Queen, issued by McKinlay, Stone & Mackenzie (New York) circa 1918-1920s. Rohmer (best known as the creator of Fu Manchu) here delivers one of the earliest English occult detective novels, blending Egyptian sorcery, medieval mysticism, and early 20th century horror. The story follows Antony Ferrara, a sinister figure whose powers reflect ancient black magic practices.
This edition includes the atmospheric illustrated frontispiece, with original blue cloth binding. A cornerstone of early supernatural and occult fiction, often cited as among Rohmer's most chilling works. Collectible as both genre-defining horror and a fascinating example of early 20th century popular mysticism in literature.
