Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book illuminates the fascinating world of the lesser-known yet vast and diverse population of Osmia bees and their relationships with other insect species that frequent similar environments such as bramble thickets. This book offers a unique glimpse into the lesser-known world of insects that often dwell in close proximity to commonly known bees, through the rich collection of observations and experiments carried out by the author. The text reveals intricate interdependencies, varied nesting techniques and intriguing adaptations employed by these relatively unexplored species to establish their nests within bramble stems. The author's careful and detailed observations shed light on the many little-known behaviors of these insects, and how these behaviors mirror the broader patterns of behavior seen in other species of wasps and bees. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. Seller Inventory # 9781333041502_0
