Navy blue boards with spine printing in white. First edition stated on copyright page. Prior owner book plate on front pastedown and name and address sticker on half-title page, which is the first page present as the front free endpaper is missing. Back paste-down has "Jan 1957" stamped near the bottm edge. Some light edge wear to the boards. "Doubleday Science Fiction" The jacket has a chip at the top of the spine and a smaller one at the bottom which have been tape repaired, some additional light wear and has been tape reinforced on the inside at several locations.
