Vandegrift, U.S. Marine Corps, and the officers and men of the Navy and Marine Corps who served in the Solomons from Aug. to Dec. 1942. Contains 61 full-page single-panel cartoons by Corporal Charles J. Hedinger, who served with the Marines in the South Pacific during World War II. A humorous and realistic picture of Marine life in the South Pacific during the war, with specific observations of Tulagi Harbor in 1942. In Very Good Condition: cover is lightly soiled; crease along lower edge of front cover and along fore-edge of back cover; pages are clean and tight.
