1940. First edition. [v], 32pp., a colour map of Ceylon, 4 black and white photographs and 20 coloured plates. William Watt Addison Phillips (1892-1981) was a British zoologist and ornithologist. This is the first of a series of books he published on the birds of Ceylon [Sri Lanka]. The book is bound in the original yellow cloth covered boards with black titling on the spine and front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with light shelf wear to the boards. The contents are tight and clean with a name written on the front fixed endpaper. Seller Inventory # gBirds05
