Based on an imaginary long-lost manuscript by Ian Alexander Bell Robertson invented by the author in order to integrate remarks by contemporary observers into the text. Gives a picture of the Northwest as it was immediately prior to the first white settlement and is based on sources that would have been available to the writer at that time. xiii, 190 p. illus., maps (3 fold. in pocket) 25 cm. Book is bright, clean and unmarked with a tight, square binding and no wear to the cloth. Mild lower corner bump to the front boards. Unclipped dustjacket is bright and clean with only tiny amounts of wear to some corner tips. Attractive copy. Weight, 613g. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
