Quarto. 8 1/4x 10 3/4". Unpaginated [6]. Sepia-toned photo-illustrated stapled wrappers, with black lettering on the front cover. The publication is an issue of the of the promotional supplement to the German weekly, Illustrierter Film-Kurier, promoting the release of the 1931 re-released sound version of the 1925 American silent historical epic film "Ben Hur" directed by Fred Niblo, and produced by MGM. The film, starring Ramon Navarro in the titular role, was the first full-length screen adaptation of Lew Wallace's successful 1880 novel, and ended up being the most costly production of the silent era. The booklet is profusely illustrated throughout with gorgeous sepia-toned photogravure images and photomontage depicting scenes and characters from the film. Text throughout, including cast and crew credits, in German. Wrappers with some minor rubbing to extremities. A small closed tear along the right side of the front cover. Wrappers in very good, interior in near fine condition overall. Scarce. Protected with modern mylar. Seller Inventory # 45204
