About this Item
Apparent First Edition (NAP). Text in Spanish. This is a very beautiful book, as you should be able to see from the photos. The covers are a maroon pebbled leather with bright gilt on the front and spine. I could not find one other description of this leather edition for sale anywhere on the Internet. I very well may be missing it, as I'm having to Google translate the offerings, but I wasn't able to find any reference to a 'cuero' binding. The book comes in a very solid slipcase in exceptional condition with colorful illustrations on all three sides. Perhaps remarkably, it is not at all worn and is very clean (I see one tiny spot on the top edge). Inside the slipcase there is an attached maroon ribbon. Inside the book there is also an attached maroon ribbon. The condition of this book is top-notch. You can see that in the photos of the covers. They have almost no wear at all. The corners and edges are in excellent shape. One edge has a small dent. There is the lightest amount of rubbing at the edges of the spine. The page edges are perfectly clean. The book is square, not slanted, and is very solidly bound from cover to cover. It is very easy to describe the interior of the book. The pages are exceptionally clean. I didn't see any soiling at all. I didn't see any creasing at all. There are no dogeared corners. There are no markings. There are no attachments. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in this book. There are a great many illustrations, a number of them are fold-outs. To my eye, all the illustrations are in terrific condition. I didn't find one issue. It seems likely that this book has thus far lived a life undisturbed within its slipcase. On a page near the end of the book is printed ''Este libro acabó de imprimirse el dia de Deciembre de 1963 festividad de Santa Lucia' which Google translates to 'This book finished printing on December 1963 Saint Lucia festival.'
