301pp. Clean, unmarked copy of Rougheads 1931 volume, subtitled "Studies of Famous Criminals" A pioneer of the True Crime genre (some might say the pioneer), Rougheads work had broad appeal, as evidenced by the dedication here to the novelist JB Priestley and the Introduction by the novelist Hugh Walpole. Edgewear and mild fading to titles on spine, but they remain legible. Contains frontispiece and eight additional plates. Early contribution to the genre, still relevant as more than a curiosity. Size: Octavo.
