Gilt lettering to dark blue spine, dark blue lettering to front board, pale blue cloth-covered boards, blue topstain. Clean, tight. 91 pp. The author of over twenty-five plays, Anderson also wrote the occasional essay about the art of the theater. "Simple, direct and eloquent, they constitute a sustained discussion of the many-faceted problem of writing for the stage, and they embody the accumulated wisdom of a man who has been driven to think certain questions through because they were relevant to his own creative labor.
